In a world that encourages exploration and innovation, the classroom should be a place where young learners feel inspired to grow. For our latest project at “Carmen Sylva” National College, we’ve designed a space that merges nature-inspired elements with technology and flexibility, providing a welcoming environment where children aged 6-10 can explore, collaborate, and thrive.

Key features that define the classroom’s engaging design:
1.Natural Colours and Materials
Mint green and earthy tones create a calming atmosphere, complemented by natural materials like wood and linen to connect students with the environment.
2.Fluid Shapes and Curved Lines
Curved lines and organic shapes throughout the space encourage movement and interaction, enhancing both focus and collaboration.
3.Customised Storage for Students and Teachers
Personalized storage areas ensure organization and easy access to materials for both students and teachers.
4.Technology Integrated
Interactive whiteboards and digital tools are seamlessly incorporated, enhancing the learning experience.
This classroom empowers children to imagine, create, and grow, providing a strong foundation for lifelong discovery.
The interior design of educational spaces has a great responsibility for its active contribution to the learning process.
This classroom project is intended for the zero class of the “Carmen Sylva” National College in Petroșani, Hunedoara, and is part of the program “A classroom like home” developed by Procter & Gamble and dm in collaboration with Pavoni Studio. For yet another academic year we can see that the transformation of education is always possible if we are willing to take small steps.
